The Oklahoma City bombing sympathizer occurred on April 19, 1995 when American militia movement Timothy McVeigh, with the assistance of Terry Nichols, destroyed the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City, Oklahoma It was the most significant act of terrorism on American soil until the September 11 attacks in 2001, claiming the lives of 168 victims and injuring more than 680. The blast destroyed or damaged 324 buildings within a sixteen–block radius, or burned 86 cars, and shattered glass in 258 nearby buildings. Justice and the rule of law [Randy E. Barnett]

What is liberty, as opposed to license, and why is it so important? When people pursue happiness, peace, and prosperity whilst living in society, they confront pervasive problems of knowledge, interest, and power. These problems are dealth with by ensuring the liberty of the people to pursue their own ends, but addressing these problems also requires that liberty be structured by certain rights and procedures associated with the classical liberal conception of justice and the rule of law.

Drawing upon insights from philosophy, economics, political theory, and law, Randy Barnett examines the serious social problems that are addressed by liberty-and the background, or 'natural' rights and 'rule of law' procedures that distinguish liberty from license. He then outlines the constitutional framework that is needed to protect this structure of liberty.

Although this controversial new work is intended to challenge specialists, its clear and accessible prose ensures that it will be of immense value to both scholars and students working in a range of academic disciplines.

The Prince [Niccolò Machiavelli]

The Prince (Italian: Il Principe) is a political treatise by the Florentine public servant and political theorist Niccolò Machiavelli. Originally called De Principatibus (About Principalities), it was originally written in 1513, but not published until 1532, five years after Machiavelli's death. The treatise is not representative of the work published during his lifetime, but it is the most remembered, and the work responsible for bringing "Machiavellian" into wide usage as a pejorative term.

The Prince examines the acquisition, perpetuation, and use of political power in the western world. Not intending the writing to be a scholarly treatise on political theory, Machiavelli wrote The Prince to prove his proficiency in the art of the state, offering advice on how a prince might gain and keep power.

Machiavelli justified rule by force rather than by law. Accordingly, The Prince seems to justify a number of actions done solely to perpetuate power. It is a classic study of power—its acquisition, expansion, and effective use.

He also makes a point of declaring that he will not discuss republics, stating, "Of Republics I shall not now speak, having elsewhere spoken of them at length. Here I shall treat exclusively of Principalities, and, filling in the outline above traced out, shall proceed to examine how such States are to be governed and maintained." Machiavelli goes on to describe his view of Republican rule in his work titled "The Discourses" which is longer but less famous. He does, however, include republics in The Prince - he uses Rome many times as an example of a warlike and domestically stable regime.

The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History by Michael H Hart

The 100: A Ranking of the Most Influential Persons in History by Michael H Hart is a 1978 book by Michael H. Hart. It is a ranking of the 100 people who most influenced human history.

The book was reprinted in 1992 with several notable revisions made to the original list of 100 people and their associated rankings. Chief among these revisions was the demotion of figures associated with Communism, such as Vladimir Lenin and Mao Zedong, and the introduction of Mikhail Gorbachev. Hart took sides in the Shakespearean authorship issue and substituted Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford for William Shakespeare. Hart also substituted Niels Bohr and Henri Becquerel with Ernest Rutherford, thus correcting an error in the first edition. Henry Ford was also promoted from the "Honorary Mentions" list, replacing Pablo Picasso. Finally, some of the rankings were re-ordered, although no one listed in the top ten changed position.

"The life of an american jew in racist marxist israel" by jack bernstein

THE LATE JACK BERNSTEIN was a rarity—an American Zionist who actually "returned" to Israel, not for a vacation or to summer on a kibbutz, but to live and die in Israel building a Jewish nation. What makes him almost one of a kind, though, was his ability to see through the sham and hype to the oppressive, racist, parasitic character of Zionism as practiced in modern Israel, and his courage to denounce it with the force and fervor of an Old Testament prophet.

Author Jack Bernstein. This Honest
and courageous Jew was assassinated some years ago by the Israeli MOSSAD

Bernstein tells how it was, how it is, and how it will be—as long as American taxpayers tolerate their leaders’ bowing to every wish and whim of the Ashkenazic (Eastern European) elite which rules Israel. He takes the reader on a guided tour through Israel’s history, institutions and values, demonstrating how the best traditions of Biblical Judaism have been obscured, corrupted, or cast out to make way for the totalitarian, militaristic, chauvinist monster that is the Israel of today.

The Gospel of Barnabas a.k.a The Islamic Gospel

The Gospel of Barnabas is a substantial book depicting the life of Jesus; and claiming to be by Jesus's disciple Barnabas, who in this work is one of the twelve apostles.
This work bears strong parallels with the Islamic faith, not only mentioning Muhammad by name, but including the shahadah(chapter 39). It is strongly anti-Pauline and anti-Trinitarian in tone. In this work, Jesus is described as a prophet and not the son of God, while Paul is called "the deceived". Furthermore, the Gospel of Barnabas states that Jesus escaped crucifixion by being raised alive to heaven; while Judas Iscariot the traitor was crucified in his place. These beliefs; in particular that Jesus is a prophet of God and raised alive without being crucified; conform with Islamic beliefs. It was found from the Pope's room during the medieval ages.
For these reasons it is rejected by Christians and it is also called Islamic Gospel.

"The secret teachings of all ages" by Manly P Hall

For once, a book which really lives up to its title. Hall self-published this massive tome in 1928, consisting of about 200 legal-sized pages in 8 point type; it is literally his magnum opus. Each of the nearly 50 chapters is so dense with information that it is the equivalent of an entire short book. If you read this book in its entirety you will be in a good position to dive into subjects such as the Qabbala, Alchemy, Tarot, Ceremonial Magic, Neo-Platonic Philosophy, Mystery Religions, and the theory of Rosicrucianism and Freemasonry. Although there are some questionable and controversial parts of the book, such as the outdated material on Islam, the portion on the Bacon-Shakespeare hypothesis, and Hall's conspiracy theory of history as driven by an elite cabal of roving immortals, they are far out-weighed by the comprehensive information here on other subjects.

Zion’s Christian Soldiers? The Bible, Israel and the Church [Stephen Sizer]

This comment about the book will tell you something about the book:

“Thank God, here comes at last a book that challenges the pseudo-theology which, by giving precedence to the Old Covenant over the New, relegates the Church to the status of concubine in order to make Israel the Bride of Christ. In clear and measured terms, the author demonstrates from Scripture that God’s purposes for history are not driven by a narrowly selective racist obsession but rather by his eternal design to create the Church, the new community dearly secured through the cross for all Christ-followers, both Jews and Gentiles.” Professor Gilbert Bilezikian

Global Freemasonry [Harun Yahya]

Freemasonry is a controversial subject. Some have accused it of fantastic crimes and perversions. However, Global Freemasonry takes the issue rationally.
The book investigates critically the roots of Masonry and the history of Masons' struggle against theistic religions. Freemasons have played an important role in the alienation of Europe from religion, and in its place, founding of a new order based on the philosophy of materialism and secular humanism.
After reading this book, you will be able to consider many subjects, from philosophical schools to newspaper headlines, rock music songs to political perspectives, with a deeper understanding, and discern the meaning and aims behind events and phenomena.

Digital Signal Processing(DSP) books

Digital signal processing (DSP) is the study of signals in a digital representation and the processing methods of these signals. DSP and analog signal processing are subfields of signal processing. DSP includes subfields like: audio signal processing, control engineering, digital image processing and speech processing. RADAR Signal processing and communications signal processing are two other important subfields of DSP.

Since the goal of DSP is usually to measure or filter continuous real-world analog signals, the first step is usually to convert the signal from an analog to a digital form, by using an analog to digital converter. Often, the required output signal is another analog output signal, which requires a digital to analog converter.

The algorithms required for DSP are sometimes performed using specialized computers, which make use of specialized microprocessors called digital signal processors (also abbreviated DSP). These process signals in real time and are generally purpose-designed application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs). When flexibility and rapid development are more important than unit costs at high volume, DSP algorithms may also be implemented using field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).

Bruce Lee training

Bruce Lee

Bruce Lee (November 27, 1940 - July 20, 1973) was a Chinese-American martial artist, philosopher, instructor, and martial arts actor widely regarded as the most influential martial artist of the 20th century. Lee is iconic for his presentation of Chinese martial arts to the non-Chinese world. His films, especially the Hollywood-produced Enter the Dragon, elevated the traditional Hong Kong martial arts film to a new level of popularity and acclaim, and sparked the first major surge of interest in Chinese martial arts in the West.

The direction and tone of his films changed and influenced martial arts and martial arts films in Hong Kong, China, and the rest of the world. Lee became an iconic figure particularly to Chinese, as he portrayed Chinese national pride and Chinese nationalism in his movies. Many see Lee as a model blueprint for acquiring a strong and efficient body, as well as developing a mastery of martial arts and hand to hand combat skills.

Chosen novel of the week

The Hermit
by Ray Holland
http://www.greatbigdog.com

(The novel, obviously, has adult themes, but all sexual activity is referred to only indirectly, without any details.)

What do you think would happen if a dedicated career hermit were suddenly to find himself the object of a lovely young lady’s affections? To make the story more fun, let’s say this young lady is – ahem – a bit more active in her love life than some people would consider proper. Her father just happens to be the mayor of their village, and officials of his political party view her behavior as a “political embarrassment” that could cost them the next election.

All this adds up to a playfully-written story, sort-of-but-not-quite-a-parable, full of politicians plotting devious and underhanded schemes, a PR firm working feverishly to spin the heck out of the various scandals that result, a hermit whose spiritual journey goes terribly awry, and a girl who wishes people would just let her enjoy life in her own way.
